The transition may range from uneventful to disabling crisis. Anxiety associated with retirement: loss of identity, boredom, no longer feeling of value. Retirement adjustment = function of time rather than the event itself. Immediate retirement routine: pre-retirement, honeymoon, rest and relaxation, disenchantment, reorientation, retirement routine and, termination of retirement. Most people underestimate what they need to retire on: mental health presence of depression earlier retirement.
