Internal (body related) components: development of awareness of body itself. External (environmental): relationship of body to environment. Body image: refers to the image one has of oneself as a physical entity, per(cid:272)eptio(cid:374) o(cid:374)e has of o(cid:374)es(cid:859) o(cid:449)(cid:374), physical characteristics- e. g. , height, physical performance abilities. Input from significant people in environment: has an emotional component- as compare self to others, continues to develop and is refined throughout childhood and adolescence, psychological. Sensory based motor disorders: due to sensory discrimination difficulties in the areas of tactile, vestibular and proprioceptive. Two types of disorders: motor planning difficulties, sensory based postural disorders, motor planning difficulties. Praxis: the ability to conceptualise, plan and execute novel (new) purposeful actions. Ideation- perceiving the possibilities for action in the environment: motor planning- figuring out how to do it.
