Law Definition
• Rules of conduct/organisation that are recognised, applied & enforced by the
power of the state
Non-Legal Rules
• Rules of conduct/organisation enforced by peer-pressure, goodwill or
convenience
o e.g. moral/philosophical beliefs, religious beliefs, 'laws' of nature, social
values
Who has Authority to make Law?
• Exercised by various governments a federal, state & territory level

• Selected rules of law that are of particular relevance to business activities.
