- Function is to protect the internal organs and allow normal function
o External abdominal obliques
o Interna abdominal obliques
o Transvers abdominis
Gastrointestinal System
- Purpose is to digest food to eet the ody’s etaoli ad nutritional demands as well as
eliminate the particles of food not needed from digestion (waste)
Subjective Data:
- Appetite, Dysphagia, Food intolerance, Abdominal Pain, Nausea/Vomiting, Bowel Habits,
Rectal bleeding, Haemorrhoids, fissure, Past abdominal history, Medications, Laxatives,
stool softeners, Iron supplements, Nutritional assessment, Weight gain or loss, Difficulty
chewing, Pain when eating or in digestion, preparation difficulties, financial hardship, Sleep.
