EDUF1018 Lecture Notes - Lecture 10: Small Cell, Michel Foucault, The Hidden Curriculum
Document Summary
Think back to a moment when you got in trouble at school. I rarely ever did get in trouble except for one time in year 4 when i went back into the classroom to get some food when we were not allowed. I knew i was in trouble when i ran out of the classroom to find a teacher waiting outside for me, who then took me to the silver seats" where i spent the rest of lunch. No it didn"t really change my behavior because i kept on going back into that classroom, hoping that i wouldn"t be caught the next time (lol). One often depicted as an ideal student one depicted as a deviant student (lisa & bart simpson) Schools are places where we learn to be particular kinds of people. We learn to change our behaviors and who we are based on the kind of disciplines in schools and rewards vic rawlings.
