Found: only 4% coped a single person, 40% copied 15 people: laboratory experiments: Perceptual judgements either alone or in the presence of a group. Found: participants conformed to the incorrect majority over 37% (approx 1/3) of the time. Participants who performed the task alone were almost always correct.
