Document Summary

De c ibe da win(cid:859) theory of evolution by natural selection, and explain. Be able to explain h ow at least one psyc hological trait coul d have been. Shaped into its present form via natural selection. Ca(cid:374)(cid:859)t separate the t(cid:449)o: have behaviour and the mechanisms, no behaviour without the brain, all biological mechanisms are linked to behaviour, behaviours change with biology and age perhaps some impairment. Evolution by descent and modification: natural selection. Species look quite different from each other: there are lines of common descent, they branch off at various stages, there is continuity between species. Categorisation by morphology: proposed common ancestor, common feature carried on. First organs and nervous system: with technology we can now be more specific with this. Same basic set up: our brains came from common ancestor. Limited resources and there is competition for these resources: when populations grow.
