Sexual attraction is placed on a continuum. We learn gender or gender behaviour like any other behaviour. Ex: gender role observation, kids playing house, boys can"t be the cook etc. Suggests that we learn a cultural recipe that dictates what it means to be male of female in a given society. This recipe influences our gender based perceptions and behaviours. Ex: girls aren"t good at math, but actually are. Responses evoked by our own temperament, gender . The idea how one influences the other, is more informative. See how people behave a certain way based on genetics. Figure out a plan (breathing, yoga, sport, etc. ) Self control is about the effort we want the child to make to control or restrain their impulses.
