What"s not so good about working in the disease model? : victimologists/pathologists, what about the average person, few interventions (besides drugs) The placebo effect: a typical demonstration, double-blind study both people don"t know what it"s about. For ex diabetes study, people are divided into experimental and control group and the experimenters don"t know what group they"re in either. If it"s not real medicine it can be helpful. 70% of people experience meaningful pain relief: the pain relief is real, the body is responding. The mind and the body are very connected.
