By reading through your essay, i completely agree that the historical events and practices that occurred at kingston pen have helped to change the correctional system we use today. I can still remember the first day i spent at kingston pen. My cell was smaller than my bathroom back home, how was i going live in this room for 10 hours a day without going insane. Within a few hours of arriving, i had realized the warden was someone you do not want to mess with. He held the rules of the prison to a high standard. Any breach at all and you would get severely punished. Within a few days of settling into kingston pen, i was assigned to work as a stonecutter, something i have never done before. I had no idea how to perform this kind of work; luckily i was able to catch on quick.
