Why do we care: high winds, heavy rains (flood, injuries and loss of life, economic losses. 6 out of 10 deadliest hurricanes took place in bangladesh and almost all of them took place in asia. The country and countries around bangladesh is very populated. The elevations around bangladesh is not much more than 1m above sea level. The most obvious economic impact is the rebuilding of damaged infrastrcture. However, other costs that are less often considered include - the cost of evacuation, The impact on energy production and the cost of severe coastal erosion. The impact on energy production could be crucial since it might take several weeks which might result in significant economic problems. Tend to travel differently from the way that systems in weather travel at our latitudes. Eye represents the clear area of hurricane. As the hurricane intensifies, the eye gets more clear. The wind blows counterclockwise of the storm.
