The most important factor as to whether or not a child will be successful is how effective the teacher is at engaging and supporting the child. Looking at situation objectively and asking what do i need to do. Readiness means you can"t today, but you can do it tomorrow. It is more hopeful than lack of ability. Different personalities, religious backgrounds, economic backgrounds, language, educational history. A barrier must be something that can be removed. Universal design: what can we do to remove barriers. Barrier: obstacle that is preventing success for one given task. it is removable. Connect and check is effective for dyslexia, proven by studies. It is not up to us to decide who is in inclusive education, the school decides. We no longer need formalised assessment to give support from school. We only need home based norm- based assessment to receive the help. In house: you don"t need to be psychologist to evaluate student.
