Document Summary

How are some ecosystems resistant or resilient. Describe the process of secondary succession in: Which types of succession support the theory of succession leading to climax vegetation. Which exs of succession dont support the theory of succession leading to climax vegetation. Disturbance and succession (aside from physical) in many places, natural vegetation patterns we observe are a function not of just physical limits, but also of disturbance - natural and human. Disturbance will remove biota from a habitat and possibly change the physical nature of the habitat (environmental change - the physical nature of the habitat - something besides the biotic changes) Vegetation cover which appears right after disturbance usually isn"t the same as the one that was lost. Over time species continually change until of plant cover returns/another disturbance occurs. This pattern of change for some biomes can be predictable.
