Wahhabism is a specific ideology to saudi arabia. It has to do with struggle of power. Arabia is rich, which is why it is a dominant ideology. Origins of wahhabism were rooted in the political and social dynamics of the community and the autonomous towns (and that a deterioration of religious conditions was not of substantial significance to the rise of the movement). Argument: the dominant idea of the origins of wahhabism is that it(cid:495)s a movement inspired by god, but dakhil argues that no, it is the socio-economic and political factors. His argument is that shirk (polytheism) was not a factor in the rise of the movement. It is a political movement that used islam to achieve its goals.
