Genetically the molecules are made out by portions that are coded by either variable genes, or constant genes that code for the variable regions and constant regions respectively. 3 types of variable genes (corresponds to cdr3) V gene for variable (present in h chain and l chain) J gene for joining (present in h chain and l chain) D gene for diversity (present only in h chain) Constant genes in dna identify the different classes of igs. They placed in sequence as they would appear.
