Document Summary

Identity as a life story: questions and research. It is something that starts when we"re teenagers. Personal concerns (more conditional on the time of your life) Identity and intimacy status: big 3 motives, attachment style, autonomy. Life narrative: personality is the study of the whole person as a unique individual. Narrative identity (life narrative it answers the question who am i? ) Not a story-teller: maybe some of us think we"re not story-tellers, but we don"t realize how much we do tell our story. It"s part of life to tell what is happening to us: we are not consciously telling our life story, but we are telling it. Richard"s parents hated each other, so the dynamic was not easy. Richard"s family used to never stop at hotels with pools, or stop at the restaurant richard wanted to eat at, but on this particular vacation they did stop at restaurants and slept at a hotel with a pool.
