Sociology term of sex and gender refer to very different things: sex: biological differences between females and males. Genitalia, physical size, adam"s apple, breasts, hip structure, etc. Hormones: estrogen, testosterone, etc: gender: social differences between females and males. Feelings, attitudes, desires, and behaviors associated with the sexes. In general, cultures have different views on gendered activities/ characteristics.
