Multiregional hypothesis: based on fossil morphology: erectus out of africa by approx. H erectus disperses early from africa, approx 1. 25 mya. Modern humans evolve & leave africa 100-200 kya (recent: erectus & h. sapiens population"s interbreeding. Isolation from gene flow with other contemporaneous populations because of glacial climate. Most humans have a little neanderthal in them. All models support the idea that our origins lie in africa. New dna evidence suggests that we have a bit of neanderthal dna in us.
