The gallery consists of two pieces, one by william. Hogarth (1743), an english artist, and george grosz (1919), a german artist. I (cid:449)as i(cid:374)itially dra(cid:449)(cid:374) to willia(cid:373) hogarth"s artwork because i am attracted to the subtle ways in which the work communicates a negative perception of human interaction and emotion. Many of the faces depicted here have very expressive and dark eyes, mostly showing facial expressions that are best described as, ominous, creepy, or evil. They also appear to be observing something as they are all in portrait position.
