There is an interaction between carbohydrate and especially lipid use. High- altitude and prolonged flight can induce lipolysis. Fat cells will store fatty acids, they store them in different compartments, these fatty acids are then carried around by a transport protein and helped them get through the circulatory system. High altitude environments require greater mechanical power to sustain lift due to thinner air . Ventilation- diffusion- circulatory oxygen delivery- muscle oxygen diffusion- muscle oxygen.
