Bumble bees- furry, helps to retain heat and so they can fly in temps below 15 deg, honeybees don"t have hair and so they can"t fly at that temp, they don"t have fur, If you"re in water, conduction of heat away from your body is fast, so there is serious heat loss, similarly with plants, they have lots of surface area and so harder to retain heat, Particular fish can propel through water, and use ramjet oxygenation, drive cold water at high rate of speed and pick up enough oxygen to heat themselves. Sophisticated heat exchange systems to prevent loss of heat, to trap heat, Many other fish have heating organs deep in their tissues, many have organs behind their eyes or certain regions in their brains to keep everything functioning.
