Goes against everything that was legislated at the time. Connects to the tradition, and sets ovid apart. We can not read poem at face value. Odysseus places girl toys and weapons and of course achilles can not hide his manly instincts and grabs the weapon showing who he really is. Mythology: fundamental to the greeks and romans.
