We view his importance for humanity, business, trade etc. He gave us the means to be powerful. But this is not really true in the myths themselves. Titans who errs against zeus and is punished. Trickster god: determines sacrifice, brings fire to humans. At no point is it said that prometheus does these things for humans. Most plays were part of a trilogy: prometheus bound has two sequels only found in fragments. Unknown date of being written, but we think it was late in a"s life. Not everything is in order, finished, or perfect. Aeschylus" later concerns: nature of zeus, divisions between divine powers of the universe. Scythia beginning of the world; olympians powers were new: didn"t take place in a city, this is prehistory; the world is very new.
