Media researchers took an interest in very young viewers: why after infants/toddlers, not many people researched babies in the media not much focus. Interest: tv, games, tablets, dvds: access internet to watch these programs. Social smile (3-5 months: the infamous sun baby, signals the beginning of the show. Prefer looking at (attractive) human faces, listening to human voices. Brightly coloured moving objects that make noise: they are always making noises. Sensory experiences (from birth): touch, hearing, feeling most dominant: children touch everything, that"s why you have those mobiles, parents say don"t touch rather say touch as it affects their growing up. Enjoy music, but prefer (high intonation) voices: children often have women, because their voices tend to be higher pitched. Funny names: tinky winky , lala , dipsy , po : the children will try to say these. Wind blowing; waves lapping on shore sounds; ship horn blows.
