There is no one best way to design jobs and structure organizations. Organizational needs to create a t between its environment, competitive strategy and philosophy, and its jobs and organizational design. Work- ow design: process of analyzing the tasks necessary for the production of a product or service, prior to allocating and assigning these tasks to a particular job category or person. Organization structure: relatively stable and formal network of vertical and horizontal interconnections among jobs that consist the organization. Analyzing work flow: work outputs, processes & inputs. Product of a work unit and can be an identi able thing or a service. Activities that members of a work unit engage into produce a given output. It is critical to establish individual accountability of behaviour. Equipment: technology and machinery necessary to transform the raw materials into the product: final inputs in the work- ow process are the human resources.
