He is looking at lines that are related to the bad things. He is only looking at the first half of the lines. He is trying to leave out the things with god. He is going against the god saving you parts of the lines. He wants people to remember him when he comes up with immortality, he doesn"t want to be obliged to god. He has reached the types of knowledge of all kinds and the programs he"s taken. These classes and programs he"s taken are not enough-> as they all have end results. He wants beyond, something to lead an immortalizing legacy. He is trying to find a cure for death and immortality. We are watching what is happening with dr. faustus.
