Document Summary

Spatial interaction: the level of movement or communication between two or more locations. e. g. toronto and hamilton (how much movement and communication are there between these two locations) Everything is related to everything else, but near things are more related than distant things>>1st law of geographyhdatc. If distance is short between two locations, then communication and movement is high, however if they aren"t close then the level of interaction will be very low. Distance decay: interaction between locations diminishes in intensity as distance increases. As distance increases the interaction between locations declines. If you have relatives far away and ex-neighbours far away you maintain contact with your relatives as you have relationship and connection to them. Level of interaction depends on distance + connection to you. You will have connection to your relatives no matter how far they are. Neighbours lose contact once they move a certain distance from you.
