The oil sands in the us are particularly small compared to the world. Saudi arabia has the most accessible oil, as well as the most. Canada is second in the world, almost all of it is in the oil sands though. 170 billion barrels of oil in canada we use 693,500,000 barrels a year which equals 275 years. Since coal has a much larger reserve, it"s assumed we haven"t yet reached the peak of production. We will have to soon separate electricity from energy. Other energy like heat is easier to store. Technical fix using fuel more efficiently to do the same thing. Lifestyle change using less fuel by reducing activity.
