Everything on earth such as wildlife, earth minerals, water, forests. How we view resources depends on the resource. Resources are valued only with respect to human utility ex) cow has no value but the milk and meat it provides does. Resources exist independently fro human desires; just for existing they have value. Worldviews lie on a continuum of perspectives. We are the planet"s most important and dominant species and: we can and should manage the earth mostly or our own benefit. We can solve any environmental, population, or resource problems with: more economic growth and development, better management and better technology. The best way to manage the planet for human benefit is through. We use the earth"s natural capital, we are borrowing from the earth and from future generations. View that the environment is vast and has inexhaustible resources. A hostile and dangerous wilderness to be conquered and managed for human use.
