GEOG 3LT3 Lecture Notes - Lecture 9: Mesh Networking
Document Summary
Today we will be talking about networks. This is a local network of hamilton ontario. You can have all types of networks you can have local (map of hamilton) or regional networks (which say show highways) You can have road networks or you can have airline networks. These 3 different networks we have seen have something in common: they have links, there is some interconnectivity, the links connect hubs of activity (for instance toronto is connected to. Ottawa via ight or in the road example we can see hamilton is linked to. These examples are all networks because they are comprised of links that converge on nodes (the node could be as simple as an intersection on a road or larger like an airport) Collection of parts that provide connectivity to the system. The elements of the networks are: links and nodes. These link and node de nitions could be applied to say energy distribution networks as well.
