They had a lot of political influence especially in ottoman empire and genramn empire. In britain, france their power is declining rapidily. Their power and wealth was slowly dwindling away to the bourguies. Some were able to maintain power due to locations like ottoman empire, In america this is the class that dominates america (morgan and rockafeller)
