Dsm-5 stresses most people with unusual sexual interests do not have disorders. Those who feel personal distress about their interest, not merely distress resulting from society(cid:495)s disapproval. Sexual desire or behaviour that involves another person(cid:495)s psychological distress or injury, or desire for sex involving unwilling persons or persons unable to give legal consent. Examples: exhibitionistic disorder, fetishistic disorder, frotteuristic disorder, paedophilic disorder, sexual masochism disorder, sexual sadism disorder, transvestic disorder, and voyeuristic disorder. Gender dysphoria has feelings typical of a different gender. The critical element is the presence of clinically significant distress. Recognition of the emotional complications of many behaviours. May help people to get the treatment or access services that they need. Dsm attempts to tread water carefully, lots to be concerned about. Strong desire to be treated as gender different to how society treats that person, or to be rid of one(cid:495)s sex characteristics, or strong conviction that one.
