With new settlers, indenguious people were able to get western goods without meeting westerns (ie. horses) Along with horses they got the knowledge to breed horses. Trading allowing there to be a flow of knowledge. It took a while for comanche to be placed on the map. Spanish technology spread to distant indgenious areas. Even tho spanish only touched a few areas, social relations were impacted heavily. Those with new tech got power and would sometimes take power over other regions. The ute tired to gain back power by adopting tech, making their numbers larger in order to fight back if needed. In a few decades, indegnious communities were forced to reorganize themselves. Had a big impact on social relations, way of life ect. New tech became essential to the ute as they needed power to the comanche.
