Key concepts: ecosystems and the future climate. Move to the arctic circle to grow crops. If we look at the entire flow of water, we can see a change in the overall ecosystem. Factors driving future ecosystem changes in the amazon river basin. If we extend this to the map of all ecosystems, you can see the velocity of climate change. White range estimates show a change in their biodiversity. How infectious diseases are related to forestation/water projects. Climate change leads to an increase in the spread of pathogens. Less ground for the polar bear to hunt, leading to it being endangered. Feeding ground for caribou will change, we will see more shrubs instead of mosses. Change of distribution of species in the ocean, since temperature will increase. More carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will end up in the ocean. There will be more species at risk (seen in the black on the graphs)
