Colorectal cancer and liver disease: increases cognitive function concentration and problem solving, decreased mortality in smokers. Caffeine consumption throughout pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of fetal growth restriction. Positive association between coffee consumption and all-cause and cvd mortality in men and women younger than 55. Saw decrease risk of myocardial infarction with moderate risk of coffee intake vs non-coffee drinkers (<300mg/day vs 0mg/day) Small increase in blood pressure occasional coffee drinkers. Increase in homocysteine plasma levels with 4. 5 cups per day. Increase in total cholesterol, increase lcl-c and increase triglycerides with 6 cups or more per day.
