Why buscopan: co2 causes less spasm of the bowel, buscopan: slows down movement of the bowel. Contraindications: pre-existing perforation, distal bowel obstruction, glaucoma-modification to exam, unstable cardiac disease given glucogon instead of buscopan. Inflammatory bowel disease can increase false positives found: often benign strictures found with this. Preprocedural patient positioning: sim position on right side to insert *check which side. Retention balloon catheter: purpose is to keep catheter in place and tapped in place.
