Define: accurate, reliable, & valid in the context of radiographic qc. Accurate: measures what it is supposed to be measuring. Valid: it meets external standards - conforms to the standards. Plotting the variable that we are measuring over time. Middle dash line is the base line or ideal. Upper & lower control limit - as long as the values fall within the areas we are generally ok unless there is a trend. Watching the variable over time - no control limits. Vital part of qc program - proof that we are keeping up to date & fixing things. All of the data is used for quick reference. Both sets of logs must be updated during qc checks. Nowadays - you have 1 binder & the rest is in digital.
