2r03: end of beatles career and british blues revival. The band was loosing interest in public performance. Only became interesting in writing music rather than performing. John lenon: organized religion wasn"t an important concept to teenagers. Most young people in 1966 would rather go to a beatles concert rather than go to church: beatles were the new jesus *bigger than jesus* Beatles burnings: threats made against their lives. He was not sorry and called other"s stupid for understanding what he said during the interview he took part in 7 months prior. At the end of their tour on aug 29th, they did a performance at candlestick park in san francisco: this was their last public performance, they would continue to write their songs and recording them.
