Nordoff-robbins approach is based on humanistic model (broad scope) Free improvisation - alvin understanding psychological and physiological functions of music functions of music in a group whats happening musically in the improvisation, what does that tell us? approach is popular in the us. Mt - can practice overcoming this way of thinking o o eg. using improvising through mt session they can discover things about themselves that can break pattern in dysfunctional thought. Mt is using interventions to reach developmental goals not necessarily age specific - certain ages as you grow up that mark diff developmental milestones (speech, logical thinking, etc) example young girl abi.
