Non-violence: returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devote of starts. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that . But when you have seen vicious mobs lynch your mothers and fathers at will then you understand why we find difficult to way. Pacifism: if we assume that humankind has a right to survive, then we must find an alternative to war and destruction
