Pacifism is a commitment to peace and opposition to war (pacific, in latin, peacemaking) Some people are absolute anti-violence and anti-warism but some others believe if can. There is not a single form of pacifism be justified (ex. for defence) Marital fidelity (if you say cheating is okay, if no one will find out or get hurt, you are a consequentialist)(doesn"t matter if there is no harm but it is still wrong) You are protecting a jewish family, by hiding them in you basement from the nazi forces. Killing : do not kill, kill and murder, killing soldiers (innocent people die in war, war brings the killing of innocent people)(innocent civilians get killing in war), killing innocent. We need to know whether or not we will have good consequences. Consequentialist: the evils procured by war far outweigh the good that may arise - rule utilitarianism. Balance of evil and good in war.
