Good taste: a good judge of beauty. View that there can"t be a standard. First thing introduce a distinction about matter of fact and matters of distinction. Might be hard to tell who"s right, there is a right and there is a wrong. Matter of fact whether there"s life on mars, etc. Feeling is passive, a passion, it comes over you, it"s not something that you chose. That"s what beauty is, a passion, a feeling. Beauty is not a quality in the things itself, it exists clearly in the mind and each mind precedes a separate beauty. Everything you can think of will fall under a matter of fact, or a matter of feeling/sentiment; one or the other, no third.
