Visual spectrum is just part of a continuum. Limits of visual detection bias your view: brain interprets these colours. Colour is sex linked green & red colour blind is sex linked. Females have 2 x chromosomes have 4 chromates can see more colour. Concentric circles makes you nauseous evolutionary because most things that have concentric circles are poisonous: colour can be used to blend in to your background camouflage, adaptive significance: foraging hypothesis. If we were easily able to see colour difference between red and green we ca(cid:374) tell whether there"s fruits o(cid:374) trees or not. Some marmosets are dichromatic, trichromatic tested to see who were better foragers. Had them forage for kix cereal they love kix cereal. Experimenters took kix cereal and dyed some green, some orange. Green blends in with grass dichromats found it easier to find, orange blends in for trichromatic. Trichromats found more kix than dichromats: why do humans wear artificial blush.
