Etiology of ocd: behavioural: classical conditioning of fear, ocd. Followed by some unpleasant experience and lead to fear in presence of that stimulus. Etiology of ocd: cognitive: cognitive-behavioural model, difficulty dismissing mildly obsessive thought. Ex: hearing jingle on tv and for hours you"re repeating it to yourself: difficulty anxiety, causing more difficulty, compulsive rituals relieve anxiety.
