Disorders within each category are thought to be similar with regard to symptoms, genetic factors, environmental risks, or response to treatment. Dsm states that adhd occurs more frequently in males. More males are represented in adhd research. But even non-deviant males exhibit higher rates of adhd behaviour (than girls) A situation where an individual meets the criteria for more than one disorder.
