To abraham, repeated to isaac, to jacob, to moses. Patriarchal stories male figures that are usually named remembrance of the matriarchs are very very rare. Ch12: he tells the pharaoh that he is his sister. In ch 26, isaac tries to do the same thing with his wife. During the political orientated stories, women figures disappear. The working out of the call of god from what god wanted in the garden is now being carried out in this family of abraham. Most of these stories deal with the two major problems.
