Photo-voice hamilton (2008), using some type of voice recorder the photo voice process. Using photography video and music youth in hamilton displayed their ideas in ways that were important to them. Grounded theory, the idea that we are started from the ground and we are allowing the data itself to help us create and generate theories. Open coding is normally our first stage, we are extracting. Identifies initial concepts that will be categorized together later. One thing that happens here is that we are developing new codes, if we find that something does not fit then we are re coding. Data are reviewed for linkages and re-organized according to those connections - those associations and connections, assessing if they still hold true, start to lump together different types of codes. For example, doing a study of feelings or emotional state when someone reaches graduation day.
