BUSI 1600 Lecture 7: Entrepreneurshipn mod7
Document Summary
The opportunity evaluation framework has three main components: opportunity (o), resource requirements (rr), and the entrepreneur (e). Although the framework has a simple structure it is surprisingly versatile and powerful. It will become our analytical multi-tool and we will use it in most situations (i. e. new opportunity or new case) we encounter in this course, so it"s worth getting to know. For the sake of brevity we"ll refer to it as the triangle framework. 7. 1 shows not only the three main areas of the triangle framework that need to be examined when evaluating an opportunity, but also lists the individual criteria that should be considered under each heading. The purpose of a framework is to ensure we are systematic and thorough as we review and consider the information available to us before making a decision. Consequently, we need to try to examine each item carefully.
