Philosophical ethics attempts to answer how we should live, explains why. 3 ethical frameworks that have in uence development of business ethics, have a very practical relevance in evaluating ethical issues in business. The need for utilitarian reasoning to make comparisons, it doesn"t count, measure, compare, and quantify consequences. Reliance on consequences, the end justifies the means is the concept utilitarianism but we know: the end does not always justify the means basic rights should not be violated even if overall happiness would increase. Ethical duties should be categorical imperatives rather than hypothetical. There is a fundamental respect owed to humans, imp. Traditions agree that each and every human being possess an intrinsic value, or essential dignity, that should never be violated. Human or moral right is central to the principle based ethical tradition. Liberty and equality are also the core elements of most modern conceptions of social justice.
