Self-awareness is not only knowing yourself your strengths and weaknesses, but it also entails knowing how you are perceived by others. Self-awareness can lead to self improvement. (refer to johari window) In order to succeed, we need to understand the work environment and equip ourselves accordingly. We may need to update our skills and get up-to-date with the latest technology. Some key features of today"s workplace are talent, diversity globalization, technology, and ethics. A collection of people working together to achieve a common purpose the organizational goal. The organizational goal can be very broad or very narrow, depending on the type of organization. The organization does not operate in a vacuum, but operates and interacts with its environment. The organization should be in mutually beneficial relationships with its environment - it generates its workforce, capital & market from the environment. It produces goods and services for its environment.
